Students enrolled in Amridge University’s Doctor of Philosophy in Professional Counseling and Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage & Family Therapy degree programs fulfill the residency requirement by attending one 5-day seminar (Monday – Friday) at our Montgomery, AL, campus during their first Fall or first Summer semester. In addition, the qualifying examination is administered on campus by the School of Human Services faculty (2 day trip), and each student must be present on campus for the oral defense of his or her dissertation (1 day trip). Recap: one 5-day trip, one 2-day trip, and one ½-day trip.
